History of Folding Fan
The folding fan was developed in the early Nara period (710-794). Nara, Heian, Kamakura, Muromachi, Sengoku, and Edo, each of which introduced the changing uses and applications of folding fans over time.
Types of fans
The site includes descriptions of paper and silk folding fans for women and men, as well as dancing fans, fans for tea ceremonies, congratulatory fans, decorative fans, and more.
